The Sandwich Community Fire Protection District has adopted the 2015 International Fire Code and 2015 Life Safety Code.

To obtain a permit: 

• All Permits within the city limits will be issued by the City of Sandwich Building Department. These include, building permits, fire alarm permits, and fire suppression permits.
• All permits are submitted to the Fire Department for review by the city building inspector and returned to him.
• For all Permits outside of the City Limits, but within the boundaries of the Sandwich Community Fire Protection District, contact the Fire Department at 815-786-9241, or use the form below form.
• Permits are required for all buildings, fire alarms, fire suppression systems, new and remodeled. Permit applications can be picked up at the fire station.
